Harley Chopper Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating | Custom Pinstriped Motorcycle Protection

Custom motorcycles deserve the same level of care and protection as exotic cars. Recently, our good friend Tom brought in his newly acquired Harley chopper to Thaitan GlossWorks for a full paint correction, hand metal polishing, and ceramic coating.

The moment the bike rolled into the shop, it immediately caught everyone’s attention. The motorcycle featured beautiful hand-laid pinstriping, intricate airbrush artwork, and an incredible amount of chrome throughout the build. It was truly a drool-worthy paint job that deserved to be preserved properly.

Protecting Custom Motorcycle Paint and Chrome

Unlike factory motorcycles, custom choppers often have extremely delicate paintwork. The pinstriping and airbrush designs are layered into the paint, which means proper polishing techniques are critical.

Before applying any protection, we completed a multi-stage paint correction process to remove:

• Light swirl marks
• Fine scratches
• Haze in the clear coat
• Surface contamination

This step restores maximum depth, clarity, and gloss so the artwork and colors truly stand out.

One of the standout features of Tom’s chopper was the extensive chrome and polished metal components.

Motorcycles often have dozens of exposed metal surfaces including:

• Engine covers
• Exhaust components
• Fork tubes
• Custom hardware and brackets

Our team carefully performed hand metal polishing on these parts to remove oxidation, restore brilliance, and bring the chrome back to a mirror-like finish.

This step dramatically enhances the overall appearance of a custom motorcycle.

After correcting the paint and polishing the chrome, we applied a professional ceramic coating to the entire motorcycle.
